NAEYC Accreditation is a voluntary system by which programs measure themselves against a national set of standards. NAEYC Accreditation has been, and continues to be, the mark of quality in early childhood education. Program accreditation recognizes and promotes high-quality programs for young children . Accredited centers provide higher quality services, better compensated and higher education teachers with specialized training in the early childhood field, and lower turnover rates. A high-quality early childhood program is one that meets and promotes the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of the children and adults- parents, staff, and administrators – who are involved in the program.
